Understanding Choghadiya

Choghadiya (चौघड़िया) is a Vedic system used to pick auspicious windows for daily activities — travel, meetings, purchases, ceremonies. The day from sunrise to sunset is split into 8 equal parts and the night from sunset to next sunrise into 8 more. Each window is ruled by a planet and carries a fixed nature.

• অমৃত (চন্দ্র) — most auspicious; ideal for any new beginning.
• শুভ (বৃহস্পতি) — favorable for ceremonies and learning.
• লাভ (বুধ) — gains, business, financial activities.
• চর (শুক্র) — neutral; good for travel and short tasks.
• উদ্বেগ (সূর্য) — restlessness; avoid important work.
• কাল (শনি) — avoid new ventures.
• রোগ (মঙ্গল) — illness/conflict; avoid health & legal matters.
