Calculation method and accuracy

We use Drik (observation-based) calculations with Lahiri ayanamsa and location-specific sunrise/sunset. Values may still differ from your local almanac because of different ayanamsa, sunrise conventions, rounding of ephemeris data, or the coordinates and timezone you select. Always confirm the location shown on screen before relying on a timing.

Regional and sampradaya variation

Festival dates, tithi boundaries, Ekadashi observance (Smarta vs. Vaishnava), Amanta vs. Purnimanta month naming, and muhurat rules legitimately vary by region and tradition. Where traditions differ, KaalSetu shows one common convention; it is not a ruling on which is correct for your family.
