Hanuman Jayanti

Anjana and Kesari, after long penance, were granted a son by Vayu, the wind god. Born on Chaitra Purnima at sunrise, Hanuman as a child mistook the rising sun for a fruit and leapt for it — earning Surya's tutelage and Vayu's gift of unbounded strength. He became Rama's most beloved devotee.

Hanuman embodies devotion (bhakti), strength (bal), and selfless service (seva). His chalisa is recited daily in millions of homes.
