Terms & Conditions

These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Vuray Consulting Private Limited ("Company", "we", "us"), a company incorporated in India, which owns and operates KaalSetu (the "Service") as one of its portfolio products (vuray.in). By accessing or using the Service you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction, to create an account. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

2. Licence and permitted use

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial reference. You may print or share individual results for your own religious or family use with attribution.

3. Prohibited conduct

• Scraping, crawling, bulk downloading, or systematically extracting panchang or festival data.
• Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing our data or content at scale without written permission.
• Reverse engineering, probing, or circumventing rate limits, authentication, or security controls.
• Uploading unlawful, infringing, defamatory, or malicious content, or another person's data without consent.
• Using the Service to build a competing dataset or to train machine-learning models on our output.
• Any use that disrupts the Service or burdens our infrastructure disproportionately.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, for all activity under your account, and for keeping your credentials secure. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.

5. User content

You retain ownership of family, ancestor, and birth records you enter. You grant us a limited licence to store and process that content solely to operate the Service for you. You confirm you have the right to submit any third-party details you enter.

6. AI-generated content

Some features use AI models to summarise or explain results. AI output may be incomplete or incorrect, is provided "as is", and must not be relied on for religious, medical, legal, or financial decisions without independent verification.

7. Accuracy and no warranty

Panchang calculations follow classical rules and astronomical algorithms but may differ from regional almanacs. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. 8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company and its directors, employees, and suppliers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunity, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total aggregate liability for all claims is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) INR 1,000.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company against claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these Terms, your content, or your unlawful use of the Service.

10. Intellectual property

The KaalSetu name, logo, interface, code, original text, curated datasets, and compilations are owned by Vuray Consulting Private Limited and protected by copyright and trademark law. Scriptures, mantras, and traditional festival knowledge remain in the public domain; our arrangement and presentation of them do not.

11. Third-party services and links

The Service links to temple websites, map providers, and other third parties. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices.

12. Changes and availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time, and may update these Terms. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. On termination, the licence granted to you ends; clauses on IP, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, and governing law survive.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at the registered office location of Vuray Consulting Private Limited have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. The parties will attempt good-faith resolution before initiating proceedings.
