A puja addressed to the nine planetary deities (Surya, Chandra, Mangal, Budh, Guru, Shukra, Shani, Rahu, Ketu) to pacify their effects on the kundli.
Step-by-step Vidhi

Sankalpa
State the planet(s) being pacified and the doshas the puja is intended for.

Ganesh & Kalash Puja
Worship Ganesha and consecrate the kalash for tirtha avahana.

Navagraha Avahana
Invoke each graha in its colour-coded direction with its beej mantra.

Japa or Homa
Chant the prescribed mala count for the afflicted graha or perform homa.

Dakshina & Daan
Offer the prescribed daan (e.g. til for Shani, gud for Surya) to a priest or needy person.

Navagraha Stotra (opening)
जपाकुसुमसङ्काशं काश्यपेयं महाद्युतिम्। तमोऽरिं सर्वपापघ्नं प्रणतोऽस्मि दिवाकरम्॥
Japākusuma-saṅkāśaṃ kāśyapeyaṃ mahādyutim, tamo'riṃ sarvapāpaghnaṃ praṇato'smi divākaram.
Regional variants
South India
Performed at Navagraha temples with separate pradakshina and til-deepa for Shani.
North India
Often combined with Maha Mrityunjaya japa for Shani dosha or sade sati.
Bengal
Performed before marriage and griha pravesh as part of nandi mukh.
